Hyundai intends to be the first global car-maker to launch an Electronic Vehicle (EV) range in India. The Indian Prime Minister has made a clear statement of intent by pushing for a massive revolution of India’s automotive industry in just 12 years’ time; namely, only EV cars to be produced in India by 2030. Whilst Mercedes’ India MD has said that this transformation would prove to be economically and technologically inviable, others in the automotive industry seem to be willing to undertake this ambitious task.
